SCOOP

Scoop is a Red-Mercury game of crossword puzzles covering nine different categories of up-to-date headlines. Once you install the game you are ready to go. The material is updated over the internet every time you turn the game on. You are playing with news as it happens.
Directions of how to play are tabbed on the screen and are very self-explanatory. Also, under the Options Tab, you can set the game for 3-letter clues, 6-letter clues or 9-letter clues, three-letter being the easiest. If set for three-letter clues, when you put your cursor on a blank, the letters will pop up and you can either pick the one you want or type it in and it will automatically skip to the next empty spot.
While playing along, it is not long before you start to fill in the blanks without using your clues at all. I am not a crosswords person normally, but I did have fun with this and have played at different levels to challenge myself. One of the nice things about this game is that you can be playing along and someone comes to the door or the phone rings, hit the save and exit button and your game will go right back to where you left off the next time you bring it up.
The object of the game is to fill in all the spaces to complete the puzzle. When completed, the screen goes crazy and automatically comes on and shows you how your game compares to the overall target grid score
You can find this game at www.red-mercury.com and play a trial version. The game can be purchased for $19.95.
This is a fun game for crossword puzzle lovers or for beginners.
